Some Artists created inspiring desert artworks in the Sahara. In Solar Sinter, the British artist Markus Kayser Brilliantly demonstrated the potentialities of solar powered 3D printing using the natural ingredient of sand. In Desert Breath, the Greek artist Danae Stratou created an Eco Installation by displacing 8,000 m3 of sand to form breathtaking interlocking spirals from positive and negative conical sand volumes. While the first can arguably fall within the category of energy and art-tech tools that demonstrate the aesthetics of decentralizing and self reliance, both examples below are compelling inspirations of what can be created in the Sahara.
